The boogeyman returns to The Myers House NC this Halloween for our “6th Annual Halloween Bash!” This year we will be celebrating The Bash on Halloween Night (Friday, October 31st). The Halloween Bash is FREE and open to the public - there will be movies, bonfires, music, food trucks, jack-o-lanterns, tricks, treats, contests, giveaways and MORE!
This year we will be showing John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN (1978) and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (2003). Movies will be projected on a 10’X20’ movie screen in the front yard of The Myers House NC. Click HERE for complete details and schedule of events. We look forward to seeing everyone this Halloween at The Myers House NC!
Here are some more pictures from my visit to the Evans City Cemetery (just outside of Pittsburgh), where the opening of George A. Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” was filmed. All of the tombstones are still there and pretty much in the same condition as you see them in the film. And I’m so happy to see that the “Save The Evans City Cemetery Chapel” fundraising campaign worked - the chapel looks amazing!
I visited Pittsburgh for the first time this past weekend and had such a good time - the city is beautiful. While I was there, I went to some of the filming locations from George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. It was incredible to see the actual spots where great horror film history took place. Here is a comparison picture of the title card scene…
Had such a great time in Pittsburgh this past weekend! The weather was perfect and the city was beautiful - sooooo many incredible bridges. We mainly went on the trip to go to KENNYWOOD …the amusement park where Adventureland was filmed!!! Needless to say, I was in super film geek heaven ;) I’ll post some more pics later, but I highly recommend visiting The ‘Burgh if you’ve never been.
Want to get into the Halloween spirit early?!? Check out this awesome video my good friend Ron put together. The Myers House NC and myself make a little cameo in it Only 96 days left!!!
